BRAVO Spring 2025 Events

Saturday, April 5, 2025:  Tandem Biking at Biltmore Estate

We'll join Waypoint Adventure for a tandem biking session on the grounds of the Biltmore.  We'll have a range of bikes available, suitable for riders of all experience levels -- and we can accommodate mobility limitations as well.  We're planning to pedal from 1-4 pm.  We can accept a maximum of 8 riders for this event (and could use a few extra sighted pilots too).   Cost: Free.

Saturday, May 17, 2025:  Outdoor Rock Climbing at Rumbling Bald

We've clambered up mountains, climbing walls, and alpine towers, but this will be BRAVO's first outdoor rock-climbing adventure, led by Waypoint's experienced climbing staff.   We'll be climbing at the Rumbling Bald Climbing Area in Chimney Rock State Park.  Participants do not need to have any climbing experience, but they do need to be at least eight years old and be willing and able to hike a mile to the climbing site.  We will plan to meet at Chimney Rock, and our window for climbing will be 10-3 pm.  There are 8 slots available for climbers; spectators are welcome too. Cost: Free.
